Super Curtis Family!

This sweet family is a great example of why I like to do pre-portrait session consultations with the families and individuals I photograph! Stacy contacted me about taking their family portraits and before we set the session date, I met with them at their home to get to know them and their boys a little. I know I can do my best to get family portraits with nice locations, lighting and expressions but I love going the extra mile by capturing what makes them unique and special in this season of their life! We discussed locations (they wanted to be photographed at the Texas A&M campus by the Century Tree, big Aggie ring, Kyle Field, etc.) and clothes (we decided on blues). I asked what their two boys are into and found out Ian LOVES Nascar and knows amazing stats about cars and drivers so we decided to photograph him with his cars. Then their youngest, Cameron, said he loves super heroes and can often be found around the house in a variety of super hero garb--even being several super heroes at at time. So for Cameron, I asked them to bring his super hero stuff so we could capture him at the precious age and stage that he is! What we got is, as I mentioned, a wonderful snapshot of this sweet family and who they are right now, in 2015. Someday Ian won't play with Nascar cars and Cameron won't dress up in Incredible Hulk hands, a Superman shirt and Indiana Jones hat. But right now he does, and we captured these memories the Curtis family will enjoy for many years. I loved hearing squeals of joy at their viewing and ordering session as their portraits were revealed at my home studio! Thanks Curtis fam, for allowing me to photograph you and get a glimpse of how much you love each other and how much fun you have as a family!!!

The Green Family!

I photographed the Green family back in August of 2012 and am a little behind in posting their precious session! We were celebrating a first birthday and their daughter had the cutest outfit on! Thanks Greens for looking so cute!

Rhonda's Bridal Portraits!

Last year I photographed the amazing wedding of Rhonda Hinze and Terry Felderhoff and never posted Rhonda's bridal portraits! I always have to wait to post the bridal portraits after the wedding so if the bride and groom aren't seeing each other before the ceremony, I don't accidently give anything away! Then they went in my "to be posted" folder and I never did it. Rhonda's wedding theme was ivy and I scouted out several locations and found some awesome ivy to use for one of our backgrounds. It was on the side of an industrial building in south College Station! Our second location was a beautiful line of trees I've always wanted to photograph bridal portraits under. It rained all day before our portraits and Rhonda had come from out of town so we prayed a lot and the rain passed right before we started shooting! You can't even tell she is standing on a white sheet so the underside of her dress wouldn't get muddy! Thanks Rhonda for letting me capture your bridal beauty!!

Jons Family Portraits!

The Jons family scheduled their portrait session to capture their son Clark's first birthday. He's one of the sweetest one year old boys ever! He smiled the whole time and LOVES his mommy and daddy! He also loves Goldfish. And running. And his new car! Thanks Jons family for letting me capture these precious memories for you!
