Treasure Photography was so excited to photograph Jerry and Ramona Parkerson last weekend! What a special couple with amazing lives full of time spent loving and serving others. Jerry was one of my church's first sponsored missionaries and he served in Spain for 40 years reaching Spanish people for Christ! Wow! His wife Dina met Jesus after a courageous battle with cancer and then God brought Ramona into his life and they now serve together in College Station. Their story is somewhat like mine and Tod's and I loved meeting Ramona for lunches when Tod and I were getting to know one another. Ramona "met" Jerry online through some friends and the start of their relationship was from the US to a Spanish speaking country just like mine and Tod's was. We talked a lot about the uniqueness of starting a marriage that way! She even gave us a book about good questions to ask before you get remarried and we really enjoyed going through them. Such a sweet couple. They were a joy to photograph and acted just like the 20-somethings whose engagements I now photograph, but they are both going to be 75 this Spring! What a ginormous blessing to be 75 and in love with Christ and one another like they are. They came to my house for these portraits and I think they turned out great!
